Dear Gran “All moments, past, present and future, always have existed, always will exist.” This is a line from my favourite book, Slaughterhouse-Five, first published in 1969 when you were 48 years old and remarkably hadn’t yet reached the halfway point of your incredible journey! Despite the distance between us, you filled my life with so many wonderful memories, from pool yoga to discussing Scottish independence. You were truly a shining example of what it means to live a full and happy life and my lasting impression will always be of abundant joy, a razor sharp memory and an eagerness to find humour at any opportunity. We will all miss you so dearly, but our memories and your wonderful influence are timeless. Time for Riley Isobel to now carry your baton of contagious happiness. With all my love Your proud grandson
